"An ugly truth is better than a beautiful lie."

Today was the first day of the rest of my life.

Tonight I took my first step towards recovery.

Here I go...

I would really like to thank those of you who have been praying for me and keeping me busy making memories so that my thoughts can no longer torment me.  I thank each of you and love you dearly.

you know who you are...

And it must be said...

I LOVE AMY PENNELL!!

That is all.

I get my test results back tomorrow.  I am beyond terrified to the point where I just don't think about what could happen because when I do I get a sick feeling in my stomach.  Please pray if you would...I would love for it to not be bad news, but I could really use some prayer for peace right now.  I seem to be having a hard time trusting.

Thanks...

Today in Kid's Village, while Michelle was teaching, I had a thought.  She was talking about how Jesus was born in a manger...which is what animals eat out of.  Although I already know this, I started to wonder if maybe there's some sort of correlation there.  Now, I may be reaching, but I was wondering if it's significant that Jesus was born into something that animals eat out of.  We are so often not much unlike animals ourselves.  Not that I'm saying I believe we came from monkeys or anything, but even in the Bible we are compared to different types of animals (sheep, dogs, horses, oxen, donkeys, serpents, birds, etc.).  Like animals, we are dependent on things outside of ourselves to live, we are content with the scraps from the table, we aren't very smart...

Jesus Christ is the Bread of Life, our sustenance, our means of living.  Without Him is there life?  Nope, there's death.  If animals don't eat do they live?  Nope, they die.

Elementary maybe, but this is how I learn in Kid's Village.  And y'all just thought I went there to play with kids and teach them about Jesus...suckers.

I found out today that I will be student teaching at Pecan Creek next semester (the school I was hoping for).  I didn't really get the teachers I had asked for, but I'm making it into a good thing.  I got a fourth and fifth grade teacher (I like to stay around 2nd or 3rd if I can), but the fifth grade teacher was really nice and I felt comfortable enough with her.  AND I might be teaching "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" to the class.  That would be awesome because I love that book...and can't wait for the movie.  Anyway, just wanted to update.

Oh, and also, I have a prayer request for a family that I used to go to church with in Gainesville.  I found out that their house burned down last night (it was a huge Victorian house, over 100 years old...beautiful) and they are staying in a hotel right now, but most of their stuff was lost.  Two of the teenagers were in the house when it first started so Jeremy was able to take some pictures and things off the walls and throw them outside, but everything else is pretty much gone.  There are people helping them pick through the stuff at this very moment.  I can't even imagine...
